A low-histamine diet is a simple approach. Simple in the sense that it is free from additives, most spices, condiments, and some herbs. It is naturally a low-inflammatory way of eating.


Some hacks for getting the Low Histamine Diet right:

  • Eat seasonally and shop for fresh produce once a week. This covers your 7 days of meals.

  • Keep it so simple that you can prepare fresh every day within minutes, usually 5–10 minutes.

  • Have 1–2 low-histamine sauces or condiments that will easily go with any of your meals. This is the trick. If you get your sauce ingredients right, you’ve got it. You can use those same ingredients for a stew, soup, or dressing.

  • I have a number of bakes for you. Bakes are great because they are not sloppy and you can take them on the go or to the office.

  • Don’t plan to go back to a high-histamine diet. Make this your new lifestyle.

  • It takes about 2 weeks for your taste buds to change. Stick with it and you’ll love it.
